Decomposition of carbon dioxide in a discharge maintained by continuous focused sub-terahetz radiation at atmospheric pressure

چکیده

For the first time, experiments were carried out on decomposition of carbon dioxide in a plasma torch maintained by continuous focused gyrotron radiation with frequency 263 GHz an argon flow at atmospheric pressure. It is shown that, despite decrease electron density factor 5, when 3% added to plasma-forming gas, it possible achieve its degree conversion 22% due nonequilibrium nature maintaining discharge. Thus, prospects using high-power electromagnetic sub-terahertz range for solving plasma-chemical problems highly stable molecules have been demonstrated.
